Just in time for post holiday cleanup:  the new Dyson Animal DC41.  If you have some Christmas money you'd like to put to good practical use but still want something beautiful, you have to have a look a this vacuum.   I love Dyson for two reasons.  One, their stuff is like functional art, I like seeing it around the house, it's well designed and ergonomic.  Two, if you suffer from allergies, their vacuums are fantastic for getting all the dust, dirt, pollen, etc. off your floors and furniture.  They are even allergy certified.

I've always been curious about the ball vacuums, they're just so cool looking.  This one maneuvers like a dream, it pivots on a dime and is super easy to squeeze into tight spots.  It doesn't have that typical foot release like other vacuums and that takes a couple of times to get used to, but I think that was part of the stream lining this vacuum.  It would be nice if the back wheels would remain solid for transport throughout the house.

If you have dogs or cats living with you, this vacuum gets the hair up with no problem.  I love that there are no bags to buy and throw away, you just empty the contents right into the trash by pushing a button.  I like to do this after each vacuuming session just to keep it clean.  This is also wonderful for those of us with children.  I've rescued legos, bat man, socks, all sorts of stuff easily and relatively mess free right through the release hatch.  There is a washable HEPA filter that is good for the life of the machine.

This vacuum works for all floor types, and the self adjusting base plate makes a seamless transition from carpet to wood.  It glides so smoothly across the floor, it makes vacuuming almost pleasurable.  The mini turbine head is great for furniture and the other attachments help to get into a variety of spaces.  It has a very long cord so you don't have to stop (though I wish they'd find a way to make it retractable).  It's lightweight enough that you could take it up and down stairs if need be and the handle on top of the canister makes it easy to transport.

Find it HERE at Dyson, you can also find it on sale on Amazon and locally--maybe at a certain store where you can use a 20% off coupon perhaps?
