Mitsubishi has been left in the fuel-efficient dust in respect to the rest of the auto industry, but now the Japanese auto-maker is going to try and play catch-up.
Will their efforts be too little, too late?
Mitsubishi has plans to launch eight new electric / plug-in hybrid vehicles by 2015. The new plan of the Japanese giant is based on the growing markets of fuel-efficient products worldwide.
The all new mid-term business plan of the company aims at a comprehensive growth with focus on environmental initiatives, and by reforming cost structure. The details of the upcoming EVs are limited, but we expect the new line-up to be inclusive of production versions of the Px-MiEV and MiEV Cargo concepts.
Feel free to read Mitsubishi's mid-term business plan in all of its lengthy entirety.
