Mitsubishi has been left in the fuel-efficient dust in respect to the rest of the auto industry, but now the Japanese auto-maker is going to try and play catch-up.

Will their efforts be too little, too late?

GreenPacks.org says,

Mitsubishi has plans to launch eight new electric / plug-in hybrid vehicles by 2015. The new plan of the Japanese giant is based on the growing markets of fuel-efficient products worldwide.

The all new mid-term business plan of the company aims at a comprehensive growth with focus on environmental initiatives, and by reforming cost structure. The details of the upcoming EVs are limited, but we expect the new line-up to be inclusive of production versions of the Px-MiEV and MiEV Cargo concepts.

Feel free to read Mitsubishi's mid-term business plan in all of its lengthy entirety.

Electric cars sound's great, this is a remarkable approach by Mitsubishi. Its good that we are thinking of going green, however we can't use this car for long distance journey, but anyways environment matters more than anything else. http://newcars.indiandrives.com
