This week's Green Business Spotlight is on the cool people at, um, Cool People Care. CPC has been around for about 3 1/2 years and is a philanthropic website that has reached far beyond just a cool slogan on a t-shirt (which is all that was intended in Cool People Care's early days).

You may have seen Cool People Care quoted in the USA Today, on your local news outlet, or showcased on Anderson Cooper during the 1,000 year flood in Nashville, TN last May.

The company made headlines all over the world with the popular We Are Nashville organic cotton t-shirts that sold worldwide to raise money for rebuilding Nashville from the ashes of its unbelievable devastation last Spring.

Today, Cool People Care is making headlines again by donating half of the purchase price of their "Love Your Neighbor" product line to disaster relief efforts in Japan.

Cool People Care president and co-founder, Sam Davidson, says,

Last week's massive earthquake and tsunami will take quite a toll on Japan. Already, estimates fear that as many as 10,000 people may have lost their lives. Power plants continue to present eminent danger and the rebuilding will take time. In an effort to help, our Love Your Neighbor product line now benefits earthquake and tsunami relief in Japan. Half of your purchase price will be donated to emergency relief to be used where it's needed most through our partnership with Week of Compassion. Or, use code "JAPAN" at checkout, and 10% of whatever you spend will be donated.

To find out more about Cool People Care, watch the video below. And you're definitely going to want to go on and sign up for their 5 Minutes of Caring daily email and "like" them on facebook too.
