Iceberg Photos Capture Mother Nature's Enviable Artistic Skills

Make no mistake -- Mother Nature is a living, breathing, phenomenally incomparable artist. Thank goodness there are people like photographer Mark Shandro out and about when spectacles like this come gliding by.

Shandro created an online sensation when he posted these two photos of a stunning glacial iceberg rising 12 feet above the water. Can you imagine witnessing this view in person? It seems as though one could easily forget how to form words...and the very act of breathing might even fall to the wayside.

Both shots were captured while Shandro was touring the Argentine Patagonia in Los Glaciares National Park. It’s hard to believe that these dynamic images depict the same structure in two different perspectives. The second photo reveals more of the Lake Argentina backdrop and provides an awe-inspiring contrast in shimmering shades of blue that only Mother Nature could create. Both pictures are an unflinching reminder of why I care so much about being an environmental steward. What emotions do they stir inside of you?
