Using sunscreens daily? Think twice...

I wanted to talk about the use of sunscreens and the actual dangers of using it! Did you know that the sunscreens that are being used right now by millions of people daily may actually be increasing their possibility to get skin cancer? Yes, great, the sunscreens prevent you from getting sunburnt, but don't forget, they don't prevent the ultraviolet light from getting under your skin and destroying your skin cells,which will in the end cause tumors

For example, get this, oxybenzone will penetrate into your skin and will enter your bloodstream. This is seriously scary and should certainly not be taken lightly. But the worst news about the sunscreen usage is that the vitamin A, retinol and retinyl palmiate may actually speed up the process for you to get skin cancer. The reason why the companies add the vitamin A into sunscreens is because it slows the skins aging as well as for it being an antioxidant. The way the vitamin A causes cancerous effects on us, is by getting the skin exposed to the sunlight while wearing the sunscreen filled with vitamin A.

Another major issue about the sunscreens are that, people tend to think that once they have the sunscreen applied on their skin, they can freely bake them selves for hours and hours at the beach. This is bad! Did you know, countries such like Australia, which promotes the use of sunscreen the most, have the highest number of skin cancer cases in the world.

The use of sunscreens dangers doesn't just end there. The lack of vitamin D, is immense! People are supposed to receive their vitamin D by the sun exposure. By saying this, it doesn't mean you're supposed to bake yourself under the sun for hours. It means you need a daily amount of it for 15-20 min. Just by exposing your face and arms, this will be enough, to make sure you get your daily dosage of the vitamin D! But this means, you cannot use the sunscreen, because surprise, surprise, it blocks the vitamin D!

So ladies and gents too, make sure you really stay away from the toxic sunscreens and get your daily dosage of your vitamin D by exposing your self to the sun 20 min max and avoid baking your self under the sun.
