Making the switch - it wasn't an easy choice for me

Well, I finally did it - I made the switch from disposable diapers to cloth diapers. I even went so far as to purchase the washable/reusable wipes, to help further cut down on the MOUNDS of waste that seem to stream from my household. Making this switch took me almost 3 years. One of my children is almost out of diapers, however I will still save over 1000 diapers from going to the landfill over the next two years as my younger munchkin makes her way toward potty training. I hope I can convince others to make this change as well. Unfortunately cloth diapering services are few and far between now, so it takes some determination to be willing to do the washing daily (since I have two kids...we go through a LOT of diapers ever day!). But I feel good about this decision and hope others will consider making the switch too.

We did that too! We did the no cholorine diapers with my older two, and FINALLY switched to cloth of my third baby. It's not as hard as I thought! The thing about laundry I don't like is all the folding, but most diapers you don't need to fold, they just get tossed into a bin we have, so its not nearly the work I thought. I have no noticed NO diaper rash at all and I know the babies tush is always comfy. PLUS saving all that trash. It's fullfilling isn't it?
