Now if you have seen the disaster movie 2012, you already know it is not that good of a movie.  Yes the graphics are crazy and in the back of your head, when you see all of the natural disasters occurring and the recent weird weather, you wonder whether this movie was on the right track??

Well guess what? NASA says that the claims in the movie are "absurd". NASA hates the movie so much that they named it the worst sci-fi flick of all time beating out The Core (2003) and Armageddon (1998).

Now some might begin to speculate that 2012 is real and will happen and that this is all a ploy by NASA to make us believe that everything is ok. All I have to say is if 2012 is real, there is not much any of us can do to survive, but we can do out best to help reverse the effects of climate change.

Here is a statement from NASA via our friends at Ecorazzi:

Donald Yeomans, head of NASA's Near-Earth Asteroid Rendezvous mission, says of 2012, "It's absurd. The film-makers took advantage of public worries about the so-called end of the world as apparently predicted by the Mayans of Central America, whose calendar ends on December 21, 2012. The agency is getting so many questions from people terrified that the world is going to end in 2012 that we have had to put up a special website to challenge the myths. We have never had to do this before."
