Maybe the happy planet list proves that we really are happier with less...isn't that what little children prove over and over again? You can buy them all of the junky (but expensive) plastic toys in the world, and invariably, it seems that they're always going to latch onto the one ratty, cat-saliva encrusted crinkle ball in the darkest corner of your room. Even CATS prove that they don't need manufactured toys to enjoy themselves. I learned the hard way by buying them toy after toy after to toy, thinking that I hadn't hit on the right one. You know what they constantly go after instead? My wife's ponytail rubber bands and the plastic piece that you pull off around the cap of a gallon of milk. Simple = happy.

I hope more people would subscribe to the notion that Less is More.
