Finally, car locked Southern California will receive almost 90 million dollars to build two high speed rail systems in Orange County. The plan in phase I is to build a LEED platinum station in Anaheim, CA using solar panels and high efficiency glass ceilings. They intend to connect this system to exisitng rail/bus/taxi systems in the area. The project began in Feb 2009 and hopefully will be completed in the next few years. This is a well needed addition to the infrastructure of Southern California and I hope to see the addition of convienent rail travel to local airports as well.
