Two Good Granolas - Purely Elizabeth & Lovegrown Foods

Despite my hippie tendecies, I never really full grasped onto granola. This is, in large part, due to those bad, high fructose corn syrup filled granola bars that used to get passed around the lunchroom or the gym locker room. Thankfully, there are two fabulous and delicious granolas on the market that bust-through this old stigma and are now staples in my cupboards.

Purely Elizabeth Ancient Grain Granola Cereal

I adore the Purely Elizabeth company and their founder, Elizabeth Stein. I've been lucky enough to try nearly every one of her goodies and they do not fall short in terms of nurition and taste. Although I'm a cookie monster at heart, the Purely Elizabeth Granola cereal is delightful and great for tossing into yogurt, non-dairy milk or eating plain. It currently comes in three flavors Original, Cranberry Pecan and my favorite, Pumpkin Fig. All Purely Elizabeth's granolas are gluten-free, vegan and free of refined sugars.

Love Grown Foods Granola

Another amazing company doing well for our world and keeping the gunk our of granola is Love Grown Foods. Their "oat clusters" contain no high fructose corn syrup, refined sugars, free of hydrogenated oils and are gluten-free. Their Cocoa-Goodness is one of my absolute favorites. It tastes amazing in oatmeal! Their blog also offers some fun recipes you can try at home.

This Earth Day, pack one (or both) of these granola treats and head out for a picnic in the park.
