It's breakfast time in my house and I am searching for a drink to energize me for the day. I walk over to my fridge and pull out GTs Synergy Kombucha, the Multi-Green flavor. The glass bottle, which is much more sustainable than plastic, encloses a light green liquid. The mixture has dark green strands collecting at the bottom. Upon opening it, I am overwhelmed by the swamp-like smell emanating from the bottle. Unfortunately for any possibility of being skirmish I might have possessed, I am from Portland-which is the mecca for people who find suspicious foods an indulgence. I take a large gulp and enjoy exactly the taste I expected, something similar to a wetland.
GTs Synergy Kombucha has eleven different flavors, from two different categories: ones without five percent fruit juice, and ones with it. The ones with fruit juice are a little too sweet for my taste. Of the options sans fruit nectar I also find delight in the Gingerade variety. It has a crisp, sweet spin to it. The fruit flavors are a good choice if you have never tried kombucha before, which I must admit takes some getting used to. The fruit tastes include mango, cranberry, and guava.
Kombucha is fermented tea that most people drink it for medicinal purposes, as was the motivation for GT Dave to start this brand after his mother had such success from drinking it when she had cancer. The health benefits kombucha drinkers claim include detoxification of the body and mind, assistance in cancer recovery, increase of energy, digestion aid, and skin and joint improvement. Speaking from personal experience I can say that every time I drink GTs Synergy Kombucha I notice an increase in my energy, and an improvement in my skin appearance and mood. GTs Synergy Kombucha is available in health food stores across the nation. Find out more about GTs Synergy Kombucha from their website, http://www.synergydrinks.com/home.aspx.
