Prince Charles, an unlikely greenie...

Highgrove_Estate_PC.jpgPrince Charles has over the years been a great advocate for the eco/green sector.  Since the 90's he started his own organic food and clothing company realizing the benefits early on.  He has changed his home, Highgrove Estate, into and eco-friendly home with solar panels, high efficiency windows, rainwater used to flush toilets, and the kicker is that his Aston Martin is fueled using waste from wine production!  There are a number of other ways the Prince is slowly becoming carbon neutral as well.  He has his own organic garden and farm on this 37 acre estate.  Animals are brought in to keep the foliage and grounds under control.  He also travels (I know I hope he is offsetting this carbon negative activity) and delivers lectures to spread the word.  What better way to teach when you are a walking example of how to live in an impactful way.

Yeah...you wouldn't think that the prince would worry too much about the state of the environment, but I think that he's singlehandedly done more for Great Britain's green movement (at least in terms of spreading awareness) than any other UK based organization. One thing that stands out is his line of food, made from really high quality organic ingredients, and though it costs a lot more than you might want to pay, I think that it's worth every penny.
