New York Yankees pitcher Brian Gordon became the first professional Major League Baseball player to start using a synthetic vegan glove.  Baseball gloves are usually made with 100% leather and is just one of the many traditional aspects of the game.

Here are Gordon's thoughts:

"It's very different looking and not your, the traditional look. But I asked more and more questions about it and it just made sense to me. I think a glove is a tool. A glove is our tool, a tool we use every day, and it may as well fit, fit for us.  It's a very simple equation: Lighter is better."

Gordon's glove was made by Carpenter Trade Company and we hope other players begin making the switch and hopefully MLB will start to make the switch as well.
