Here's the scene: you're on a particularly long flight, attempting to get comfortable in one of those awkward seats, when somebody's kid, sitting behind you, begins to kick your seat / scream at the top of their lungs / throw animal crackers at your head.
It's not fun. To say the least.
The CEO of Malaysia Airlines agrees with you, and has been explaining via Twitter that his airline no longer allows any child under two years old in first class.
"We already hand out noise canx [canceling] headphones in 1st class. They don't work so well for babies crying," the CEO tweeted this week, having previously told the internet, "[Have] many complaints from 1st class pax [passengers] dat dey [that they] spend money on 1st class & can't sleep due to crying infants."'
First, let's all applaud this guy for his grammar. Fabulous.
Now, let's all consider the idea of little kids not being able to take up space in first class – personally, I'm fine with it. Those tickets are expensive. People who spend that much on a plane seat probably travel all the time, and deserve some peace and quiet. A screaming infant does not a calm flight make.
As for the rest of us stuck in coach, with that kid throwing crackers on our heads...there's always sedatives. For us. Not the kid. (No matter how much you'd like to quiet him down)
