Fisker Karma plugin-hybrid super sedan

There's a new kid on the luxury plug-in hybrid block. Scratch that, there's a sexy new hot chick that just moved in 3 doors down on that block. And her name is Karma...Fisker Karma. She almost didn't close escrow on that place 3 doors down, but in the end everything came together and she's moving in soon.

Damn that Leonardo DiCaprio for scooping her up first. Autoguide says,

The Karma as many of you know, is powered by two electric motors, which can power this car for about 80-miles on just battery power alone. Once the battery runs out of juice, a GM sourced 2.0-liter, turbo-charged, four-cylinder engine will come into play to take you the remaining distance. The idea is, you get green motoring without any mileage limitations.

Fisker says they have secured about 3000 orders for the Karma, which is being built by Valmet in Finland. Currently only 5 cars a week are rolling out, but that number will jump to 300 per week from November.

The first Fisker Karma will be delivered to Leonardo DiCaprio later this month, with other Hollywood A-listers not too far down the delivery list.

The Karma sedan is priced around $100,000, with a convertible and wagon version to be offered down the road. With its price coming in far below the Porsche Hybrid Spyder 918 and the Mercedes SLS AMG E-cell, you can go ahead and buy 2 at that $100,000 price...and then give me one.
