Sea Inspired Kitchen Nook

Bringing a touch of the ocean into your breakfast nook design is an easy way to get the friendly, earthy and environmentally-conscious look you want.  Do not settle for just any decor, however, as sea inspired pieces vary greatly.  For a truly earthy feel, select pieces that are the most realistic and crafted from basic materials.

When it is time to replace those coffee metal wall hangings with something a bit more ocean-friendly, do not rule out adding other metal art pieces.  While they may not be made from a material that occurs naturally in the sea, they are a very eco-friendly choice for attractive wall decor.  Sculptures can be found of everything from sea turtles to fish to a natural ocean scene.

Another update you may wish to include in your newly designed kitchen nook may be a fresh coat of ocean-inspired paint.  A light blue or crisp white is always a good choice for creating a beach feel.  Use environmentally-friendly paint with low odor and emissions to get the safest redecorating experience for you and your family.  Be sure to paint the baseboards a bright white, as well!

Whether you are embracing sea shells in your kitchen nook or adding realistic turtle metal wall art to the ocean-inspired decor, you will find that your dining area takes on a completely different ambiance.  Eco-friendly materials and some creative decorating can you make the transition to a peaceful and tranquil kitchen nook without having to strain your budget.
