Next week in Europe the 100 Watt Incandenscent light bulbs will not longer be available in stores. Throughout the coming years the other watts will also be discontinued in an effort to force people to change to more energy efficient bulb models.
There are skeptics who are hesitant of the change but they do concede that the initial price increase will be offset over the lenghth of useful life of the bulb. There will also be a roughly $200 per household in electrical cost savings yearly.
