I love organic products, so I was thrilled when I was given the chance to review MuLondon Organic Rose Moisturizer, as it seemed different than most moisturizers on the market as it's a sold, not a liquid.

Product Description (from their website):

Luxury 100% organic face moisturiser with Rose Otto oil, Rosehip Extract and Rosemary Antioxidant. This amazing trio will pamper, balance and nourish dry, irritated and sensitive skin.

These precious herbal extracts and oils are carefully balanced and hand-blended in a base of certified organic Shea butter, Coconut butter and Golden Jojoba oil. This creates a unique, rich, divinely fragranced and creamy balm that is packed full of nutrients for your skin. No water is added at any stage - so you get pure, undiluted herbal power that is to be used sparingly.

The essential oil of rose I use is certified organic and steam distilled - it is not solvent-extracted, as is the case with the cheaper rose absolute.

Thirty roses must be used to make a single drop of Rose Otto - this is why this oil is the most precious essential oil in the world.

The Rosehip extract (Rosa Mosqueta) I use to make this moisturiser not only feeds the skin, but also imparts a healthy shimmer and a rosy glow.

Added certified organic Rosemary Antioxidant helps replenish and revive the skin.

Great for everyday, all-over face, hands and body use. Ideal for dry and sensitive skin.
All the ingredients in this moisturiser are certified organic.

Ingredients:
Vitellaria Paradoxa (Shea Butter)*, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Butter)*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Oil)*, Rosa Damascena (Rose Otto Essential Oil)*, Rosa Canina (Rosehip Extract)* , Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary Extract)*
*Denotes Certified Organic Ingredients
Certifications:
Certified by both PETA and The Vegan Society.  They are also a Green America Approved Business and signers of the now defunct Compact for Safe Cosmetics.
What I like about the product:
I love that all of the ingredients MuLondo uses are certified organic.  You can definitely tell as soon as you open the jar that shea butter is prevelent as it looks just like a jar of pure shea butter.  The rose was great for soothing irritated skin, which happens a lot here with our dry, winter, mountain air.  It was also very long lasting.  I could put it on in the morning, and the next day my skin wasn't dry.
I used it to repair my hands when they started to get red and irritated after repeated washing with a harsh hand soap and on my elbows. It would probably be really great on feet at night too, although I didn't try this.  Because it's so thick it would be great for protecting your skin when you're exposed to extreme weather such as high winds & sub-freezing weather, or when you're skiing.
What I don't like about the product:
Since MuLondon has gone to the trouble to source and pay a premium for certified organic ingredients, I wish they'd get the end product certified so they'd have 3rd-party proof that their organic claims are valid.
I did find it a bit thick for my taste.  I did as the directions say and used a very small amount and warmed it between my fingers before applying.  Even so, it didn't have quite enough slip and it felt like I had to tug at my skin a bit too much to apply it.  I also wasn't thrilled that when I touched my face it felt a bit greasy to me.  I was very careful not to use too much product, so I don't think that was it.  However, when looking at my skin it did not look greasy.  It was only when I touched it.
It's possible that it could be that this was the wrong moisturizer for my skin type and that the Hemp Moisturizer, which is indicated for oily skin, would have been more appropriate.  However, I didn't have that one to compare to, so I can't say for sure.
So, I probably wouldn't use this as a every day moisturizer, but I would definitely use it as a treatment when my skin is feeling particularly dry or as a night cream.
Would I recommend this product?  Yes.  Even though it was a bit thick for my personal taste, I'm sure it will work well for others, especially those with dry skin.  And, there are no unsafe ingredients in it, so there's no worry about it negatively affecting your health.  I would definitely say it's one of the safer moisturizers on the market, so give it a try.

The efficacy of rose in skin care is well known. I hope this one takes it to a higher level of effectiveness for the skin care, especially of it being of organic nature.
