we have dropped the ball on holiday cards over the past few years. this year however, timing was everything si when we hit the mojave national preserve for a four day campout, we made sure to pack our halloween costumes for a sand dune photoshoot.
mr. a-go-go's skills and creativity slay me! he can turn dirt into gold or happy plastic colanders into costumes. we lugged our get-ups a partial way towards the kelso dunes until i found just the right spot for our photo op.
we were early enough that only one other hiker trekked onn by as we posed, helmetso on heads cradling our vintage plaastic snowman that may or may not have been from my childhood. i know i had one growing up but this one may have been a thrift score.
after the shoot, we hit the road and explored ourselves silly over the preserve. we lunched on a lava bed and wandered about the kelso depot. we do the wandering thing pretty well.
so, finally, a week after our return home we popped a couple of pics into photoshop and playedwith the saturation until we had a happily eighties-style spacey pic afore our eyes. thank you vistaprint for your "free" services. less than $20 later we had 100 postcards coming our way. must figure out what to do with them after we send ours out. i'm not mailing to 100 people. i wish we could've ordered 50. aack!
happy holidays...you get the first look of the a-go-go holiday card....
