header-greenware.jpgFabri-Kal commits itself to producing packaging the most safe and environmentally responsible manner possible. They use innovative materials to reduce unnecessary packaging through design and manufacturing capabilities. They offer many options available for producing sustainable packaging solutions.

The various materials currently available include APET and PLA resins. APET is a crystal clear lightweight material suitable for many foodservice and CPG applications. APET is recyclable in most communities. PLA is a resin derived entirely from corn. It was created by NatureWorks LLC, this material is completely compostable and typically breaks down within 60 days in the correct conditions. PLA has the properties of APET including clarity, stiffness and oxygen barrier of APET while being completely sustainable through annual corn harvests.

Fabri-Kal is committed to eliminating unnecessary packaging while still providing product protection through the use of software testing before any tooling is created. With the use of pre and post-consumer recycled materials, this packaging is an ideal way to promote environmentally conscious packaging.

Greenware is a specific line of cups, lids, and portion containers made from a PLA resin derived entirely from plants, never using petroleum. The disposable Greenware is made from a plant source that is domestically-grown and annually renewable. All Greenware products are custom printable, great for any business. It is a wonderful way to enhance your brand and promote green awareness!

I think their website has information about getting their product, but I have actually seen them in a few different restaurants. Alta Coffee in Newport Beach, CA was where I stumbled upon the Greenware products for the first time.
