Well, I wanted to share what I have been working on for a few months. lol. Actually, the hardest part was waiting for my daughter to drink enough of these things, meanwhile I would cut a slit in the bottom after each one was empty, rinse it out thoroughly, the set it out to dry out. This photo here is of my daughter holding the bag. You can't really see that it has a pocket on the front made from 6 more bags. It turned out beautiful don't you think? It was definately a challenge working with these bags. For one thing, there was some sticky residue left over from where the straw plastic was glued onto it. Getting that off each and every bag proved to be a challenge, even with the "Goo remover".

Well, I wanted to share what I have been working on for a few months. lol. Actually, the hardest part was waiting for my daughter to drink enough of these things, meanwhile I would cut a slit in the bottom after each one was empty, rinse it out thoroughly, the set it out to dry out. Once I had enough to start sewing, I started figuring out what I wanted to make. Here is the beginning. I sewed them together three by three's, for front and back panels of a purse / mini tote bag. The Pictures on the left are from a tote / purse that will be of all different kinds / flavors all mixed together.
The photo on the right is of Strictly the Lemonade flavored. My daughter LOVES lemonade. The mixed flavored on will have a pocket on the inside made of just two Drink bags and I messed up on the back panel so it is actually side ways. On the Lemonade bag I put a huge pocket (nearly another entire panel of 6 bags) on the outside of the front panel.
Attaching the handles. I used 4 pouches for each handle, folded them in half after attaching them end to end. It now appears that maybe I should have cut them in half first then folded them and created both handles from 4 pouches (cut in half) instead of a total of 8 pouches. 4 bags folded in half is way too thick for a carry handle. So back to the drawing board on that one.
The bag of mixed flavors has 31 juice bags - completed. And the Lemonade one has 35 at completion. These drinks sell (here) for nearly $2 for 10 drinks (with tax) making the mixed drink flavor bags cost to make around $6.20 with thread ect... Add on labor $10 an hour and it's resale value is $17 and the Lemonade bag's resale value is $7 supplies and $27 w/labor.
