
Believe it or not, teens are starting to become some of the most enthusiastic participants of the 'green' movement. Many teenagers are dedicated to spreading the word and educating people about the benefits of living in a greener society, and what better way is there to get the message across then through fashion? Not only is eco-friendly fashion good for the environment, but it's an easy way to relate to teens and get them find healthier way to live on this planet. With that said, here's five easy things that can transform your normal closet into an eco-friendly one:
- Prom Project Green Prom, a challenge which encourages high school students to 'green' their school's prom. It provides a wide range of information from skincare free of toxic synthetic chemicals to where to buy an organic cotton prom dress.

- Makeup Sephora is now offering natural brands of makeup that are organic and synthetic free, including products containing ingredients grown and processed without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or insecticides.
- Celebs Teen starlet Emma Watson has teamed up with Fair Trade and organic clothing distributor People Tree to launch her own collection of eco-friendly designs, made entirely by Fair Trade groups helping disadvantaged people in Bangladesh, India and Nepal.
- Recycled Fashion Buy-sell-trade store, Buffalo Exchange, offers recycled fashion catering to trendy teens interested in saving money and raising awareness of the environmental benefits of reusing products.
