lrTeqlV74HPxcGPuhm.jpgIt's Friday! So besides sneaking an extra cupcake into your lunch bag (because hey, who doesn't need a little sugar to get them through?), is there any other way to celebrate the coming weekend? Of course. Greenwala's Nature News Round up!

This week we learned a lot of important, if not slightly strange, things.

We learned not just how to survive the apocalypse, but how to relax into it with a high-class bomb shelter complete with an indoor pool. We also learned that rats aren't all scary, disease carrying subway monsters; some of them actually save our lives.

We figured out that there's a leaf that could actually save the world, if we could only make it work, and how to create an awesome summer date that's also good for the earth - double bonus!

Did you know there are 7 products you need to ban from your house immediately, or that some Massachusetts doctors are actually prescribing veggies to their patients? Well, now you've just gone ahead and read those articles, you do.

In news that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who follows politics, the UN Climate Negotiations have hit a snag (because it would be awful to actually get something done, right?), and in news that might make animal lovers slightly pissed, driving with your dog may increase the likelihood of an accident.

So, there you have it friends. Some of the best Nature articles on Greenwala this week. Now go eat your cupcake. Friday night is calling.
