Boy earlier this week I read a post here on Greenwala about the Krispy Kreme Cheeseburger but was not too shocked because it was being served at a state fair. Not saying it is ok, but state fairs are known for their outrageous culinary skills.
However, after I posted that article on my Facebook, a friend was quick to point out that Burger King has unveiled their Whopper Pizza Burger! Apparently in Times Square, NY, there is a BK Whopper Bar and they are serving this new 2,500 calorie pizza burger.
I think I just had a heart attack writing that sentence!
I think that national chains like Burger King, KFC and McDonalds really need to check themselves. Yes at the end of the day if we as consumers were not eating these things they probably would not exist, but the companies need to take responsibility for even making them available.
Obesity across the world especially with the youth of America is a growing problem and items like this on fast food chain menus will not make figthing this battle any easier.

Exclusive to NYC's Whopper Bar. Four flame-broiled Whopper® patties topped with pizza-lovers' favorites (pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce and Tuscan pesto sauce) all on a 9 1/2-inch sesame seed bun.
I am sure they claim it is not for one person and that people should share it like any other pizza. Would you try this?
