Wow, we always hear stories of people and animal cruelty with something like dog fighting but this time it is just unexplainable. There is no literal beating or brutality of the animal, but what this elderly woman did is absolutely unacceptable and appalling.
As you can see in the video below, the woman innocently pets the cat luring it in and then instantly grabs it by the neck and tosses it into the trashcan. What makes this even more confusing is that it comes from someone you might not even suspect. Supposedly the woman has said she did it as a joke but is now retracting that statement most likely due to the understandable outcry from the public.
The poor innocent cat was unfortunately trapped in the trashcan for approximately 15 hours as the owners were frantically looking for their lost pet. Luckily they happened to walk by the trashcan and were able to find it. Thank god it was ok and survived.
I still do not know what to think about this because it is probably something you might expect to hear that a young child might have of done thinking it was "funny".
Either way young or old this is truly unacceptable and simply animal cruelty.
I have a soft heart for animals especially innocent ones that can't really protect themselves. Some people are suggesting that the woman's punishment should be sticking HER in the trashcan for for 15 hours to see if she thinks it is funny.
I am not one who believes in an eye for an eye or taking revenge on someone, but in this scenario I can not really argue against anyone who feels that we should punish this woman by sticking her in the trashcan.
What do you feel? Do you think she should be punished harshly or has the public outcry and backlash been enough punishment for her??
