Backyard Habitat Workshops (March 1, 8,15 & 20th in Seattle)

Learn how to turn your yard into a certified Backyard Habitat at a series of four workshops presented by the Woodland Park Zoo. Representatives from the zoo, Seattle Audubon Society, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Washington Native Plant Society and the National Wildlife Federation will teach participants how to attract birds, care for plants, conserve water, manage chemical-free yards and more. 7-9 p.m. March 1, 8 and 15, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. March 20, Overlake School, 20301 N.E. 108th St., Redmond; $75 or $140 for couples
