I wouldn't say that the plastic remnants of our electronic past are actually pleasing to the eye, but they've served us well and we can all probably regard them with fond memories...now, more than ever.

Redimei (which is a linguistical distortion of "ready made") rethinks and reuses technology trash in order to create new design products.

So many of the raw resources that they use in their line are languishing away in landfills, so it's kind of nice to see that when repurposed, they can actually be transformed into clever and practical household helpers that aren't too tough on the eyes, either.

From hand held disc mirrors and old cassette tape shelving to pencil holders and this sticky note storage system with built in pedastal, Redimei certainly seems to have thought of every conceivably clever way to breathe new life into our post-consumer electronic junk.

One of my favorites has got to be clever keyboard repurposing experiment, perfect for the computer geek who still likes to make a pass in front of the mirror every now and again.

Recession be damned! I'm going to sort through my box of electro-junk and make a ton of hip holiday gifts!!
