Transform An Average Toilet Into A Mirrored, Bejeweled Barbie-Pink Spectacular

Toilets are a necessary household staple and yet they are one of the most underwhelming items to behold -- there's not even a shred of oomph to them, no sparkle, no pizazz, just ho-hum white porcelain.
After time, however, they can look a bit under the weather. Maybe you've observed the one in your household venturing on a shade of dingy dishwater buff...eggshell...or even yellow?

On the other hand, you may have caved into a color trend (say seafoam green or rose) that you are now regretting more than your choice of prom dates.
Whichever camp you are in, you might find great inspiration in this seriously fandangled, revamped disco-ball mosaic toilet -- an ode to all things girlie, pink, sparkely and bling-a-ling to the max.

If you have more subdued yet still unquestionably decorative tastes, then perhaps Lawrence ReStore's cheerful smiley face throne or FreedMosaics' gardenesque version are more up your alley.

I'm not quite sure how easy it would be to clean any of these functional art pieces, but they would certainly jazz up your bathroom and help you to steer clear of your local home improvement outlet for at least another 10 years (or until your mosaic handiwork ends up looking garish or just falls apart).

This one would take a lot less time to emulate, and it would probably be a cinch to clean, but would you want to use it? You might not want to run the risk of inadvertantly terrorizing your newly potty-trained children.

One final thought -- toilet bowl planters!!! Quirky, practical, durable and just begging for all sorts of greenery to enhance the visual beauty of your property.

I have 2 mastiffs that drink ALOT of water. They especially love "l'eau de toilette" (doesn't that sound less offensive? hehe)
I would love to recycle a bidet or toilet transformed to bidet, outside for the dogs!
They do like to drink from my pond, but I have to keep refilling it. Also, EVERY time they drink from a bowl I spend the whole day rinsing out what I call "egg whites" *gag.
The beauty of the toilet is the flush rinses & refills itself! Oh the time I could save w/ the flick of a wrist :D
On a last note, that pink mirrored toilet...WOW! I could do that w/ the dogs bowl ;)
