See What One Artist Does To Repurpose His Children's Cheap Plastic Toys (and Cash In)!

British born Robert Bradford, contemporary sculptor and father-of-two, got so tired of throwing out his children's unwanted toys that he decided to transform them into very colorful artistic sculptures.

He began experimenting with a series of sculptures (back in 2004) in which he screwed plastic toys into wooden armatures, creating the highly durable works of art seen here.

He now commands up to $18,000 for each piece, which is comprised of approximately 3,000 toys.

I wonder if that sum covers the cost of all of those toys? Any parent will agree that they sure do add up over time...

Hopefully, the money that Bradford makes from all of his sculptures will more than cover any medical bills that might arise from his constant interaction with all of those cheap, Chinese manufactured potentially lead-positive plastic bits and pieces!

We need Bradford to enter the HP Choose To Reuse contest. It would be perfect. Definitely some amazing pieces. Thanks for sharing Linda.
