39-year-old Andres Amador is a California artist who has no need for traditional canvas, paints or any of the other modern trappings of a creative existence.

He has embraced the concept of minimal environmental impact to such an extreme that just a few minutes after he makes his artistic mark on the shores of California, he kisses it all away when the tides come rolling in.

The only tools in his arsenal are a huge rake that he uses to carve out his beachside masterpieces and a camera to document the scene before Mother Nature sweeps it back into the ocean.

Amador's series of grand scale sand patterns, called 'Warped Fields', are a lot more calculated than one might imagine.

Prior to hitting the sands, he converts his sketchpad concepts into computer generated mockups -- a process that has served him well and yielded him approximately 100 works of art throughout the past 5 years.

Created in the presence of a full or new moon, his 500ft by 300ft scenes are achieved thanks to low tides and lots of patience.

Amador explains, 'The art I create is intended as a reflection and a reminder of the grandeur that exists within every viewer and the beauty that abounds in our world everywhere we look."

All hail Mother Nature.
