Nike Sneaker Elevated Into Spectacular Junkified Art Statement

If Gabriel Dishaw's Junk Dunk sneaker was actually wearable, I think that all of the bling-obsessed citizens would come out of the woodwork, converge on his studio and cause a fashion riot.

As you can see, it's an absolutely stunning piece whether you're into heavy adornments or not, and the fact that its created entirely from real circuit boards and assorted bits and pieces of found junk makes it rise to a whole new level of cool.

The artist has made a name for himself throughout the past 12 years with his high end junk sculptures, and his latest effort demonstrates that he definitely has an eye for artfully arranging pieces that we'd normally cast aside.

Using just glue and wire to strategically secure his found treasures in place, Dishaw has created something on the order of a golden recycled junk trophy that just makes you recognize how, in the right hands, garbage can become transformed into a thing of beauty.
