Recycled Dead Fly Art -- Go Ahead & Take A Look...It'll Make You Smile!

When it comes to appreciating art, everybody has their likes and dislikes...in fact some people chalk up artistic expression to frivolity and just automatically tune it out. What a shame, though -- I think that they're missing out on part of the fun.

There are so many different ways to express oneself (through seemingly infinite mediums) that it's not surprising that the final product can't please everyone all of the time.

Some lean toward classical artists, others prefer experimental works and then there are those of us who embrace impressionism.

I'm one of those people who appreciates all the above and then some, mostly because I love being surprised by the vast, far reaching spectrum of the imagination.

Using the recycled carcasses of insects has certainly been done before to interesting effect, as in the case of robo-artist Mike Libby or beetle-collaging artist Jan Fabre, but flies...have you ever seen this kind of thing before?

The artist who has created all of the works depicted in this post remains shrouded in mystery -- no one knows who the person is, but it's probably safe to say that they are of Swedish descent based on the penciled dialogue in some of the scenes.

Now, I don't know about you, but of all the household insect breeds I'm more than happy to rescue, flies are not one of them -- moths YES, flies NO!!!

Considering all of the dead fly carcasses decorating my windowsills in any given week, this seems like a fair and perfectly practical way to reuse their bodies.

Art is meant to stir emotions, so why shouldn't laughter be among the feelings that we get to experience?

Thanks to worldfamousdesignjunkies for the heads-up on these fun pix.
