Human Hair Hats Allow You To Wear The Entire Animal Kingdom On Your Head
Did you know that an estimated 60 million tons of human hair is discarded in our landfills annually?

And yet, it is entirely biodegradable.

Due to its organic properties, it can be composted in our gardens along with other kitchen scraps.

But there are lots of other practical things that greenies can do with leftover human hair...such as donate their tresses (post haircut) to charitable organizations that create wigs out of them (such as the Childhood Luekemia Foundation, Pantene's Great Lengths Program, Locks Of Love and Wigs For Kids).

Hair stylist Phil McCory's OttiMats -- composed entirely out of human hair -- have been responsible for cleaning up large ocean oil spills.

But Japanese artist Nagi Noda walked a completely different path with these wild looking hair hats.

Um, they certainly DO make a statement.

I suppose that they'd be fun for drama enthusiasts, or to wear at Halloween parties...

they'd make a great stage prop while entertaining your kiddies with night time stories...

I think that I'll just allow the pictures to speak for themselves.

Any thoughts? Fanciful? Frivolous? Practical? Would you just rather use your hair clippings to deter garden pests like deer and rodents?
