Purses & Briefcases Made From Retired Video Games & Traffic Signs

This recycling thing is pretty cool, whether you're into the green scene or not...I mean, who wouldn't want a one-of-a-kind "original" that screams out "you'll never see another one like me!"

I don't think that anyone would raise their hand and say, "Yes, I want to look like a K-Mart clone"...so that's where repurposing things into practical fashion items comes in really handy, especially if you're a little strapped for cash.

Computer chip designer Jeri Ellsworth thought of something that NEVER crossed my mind before...creating a bag out of a Nintendo game.

Of course, I don't make a habit of designing purses whatsoever, but if this were a manpurse, I'd snap it up in a heartbeat.

It was recently on display at Notacon 2009 and created a sensation among pocket protector packing geeks everywhere.

Now this, my friends, is definitely a manpurse that I'd hold my head up high while carrying.

Artist Tripp Gregson uses "lawfully retired signs" to create these document holding masterpieces.

His collection is not surprisingly somewhat pricey (at $250.00 USD), but this looks like the type of piece that would wear extremely well and hold up for many many years.

Plus, it is wayyyyyyy cool, and depending on the signage he procures, your briefcase might very well end up being very different from anyone else's.

For the ladies in the house, Gregson also fashions these High Traffic Purses for $168.00 a piece.

How about that for a traffic-stopping fashion statement?

Cool briefcases. Where does one find "legally" retired signs?
