What can you make out of a stack of colored paper?

Well, creations like this hand-winged insect are what normally comes to mind, but paper can actually take on far more sophisticated qualities.

Artist Jen Stark has proven with these two florally spirally colorburst creations that paper isn't just for the kiddie set.

But now, thanks to Sandra di Giacinto's interpretation, paper no longer has to remain solely on the craft table either.

The Accademia di Belle Arti graduate studied sculpture and coupled ancient Greek pleating techniques with recycled materials to create a line of small scale paper jewelry designs.

Released in limited collections, the designer creates everything from necklaces and bracelets to rings and buttons made entirely out of recycled paper and cardboard.

While it might be a bit difficult for the average woman to wrap her brain around adorning her neck with cardboard rather than diamonds, I can see di Giacinto's pieces being wildly popular among the greenie set.

Ducking raindrops would be imperative while wearing any of her pieces, but that's a small inconvenience for style...am I right ladies??
