Jewelry Line Fashioned From Recycling Facility Bits-n-Scraps
Throughout history, both men and women have chosen to adorn themselves with some pretty interesting looking trinkets sourced from chunks of sparkley rocks, bones, feathers, teeth, claws and even entire bodies, so the idea of recycling waste and transforming it into a thing of beauty (or at least a topic of conversation) is hardly new.
What is new is our society's current perception of what is cool and hip -- years ago, recycling rubber o-rings as bracelets was absolutely hot, and now rummaging through the recycling bin in search of your next fashion statement is where it's at.

Designer Indregru is no slouch -- by visiting a recycling facility, a vast collection of raw materials destined to be trashed were instead swept off of the sorting line and transformed into an interesting variety of handcrafted jewelry.

Instead of removing the intriguing adornments from the facility, the designer cleverly enlisted the modeling skills of several employees to create a very organic and real photo shoot -- a far cry from the glossy air brushed pages of today's fashion magazines and yet still really refreshing to see.

Judging from the looks on their faces, I'm not entirely sure that any of the models actually liked their photo shoot recycled jewels, but they were certainly good sports.

These trinkets remind me of the gold painted macaroni strands that I cheerfully presented to my mother back in kindergarden -- I think that children would appreciate wearing them a bit more than adults.

Still, from a distance, they're not half bad and you've got to appreciate the spirit in which they were created.

Indregru demonstrates that imagination is perhaps more important than having access to diamonds and gold -- in the hands of the right person, even used tinfoil can be transformed into an eye-catching creation.

Could you get accustomed to wearing pink rubber bands and refashioned o-rings? They wouldn't set off any alarms in airport security, so there's a plus!
