Self-Digesting Egg Carton "Seedling Table"

If you have children or you happen to be an industrious recycler with a serious green thumb, then you're probably no stranger to the humble egg carton and its built in seed starting capabilities.
Atema Architecture, a sustainably focused residential/commercial architecture and design firm, went well beyond the confines of the solitary cardboard container with 12 convenient seed pockets by creating this 36″ wide x 60″ long x 30″ high Auto-Cannibalistic Table.
Auto Cannabalistic, as in self-consuming? Um...you got it!
The architectural firm is committed to developing very inventive ways to reuse common materials, so it should come as no surprise that their grand-scale seedling table, glued together with a flour and water paste, possesses the ability to give life and become one with the earth.
Atema Architecture's Auto-Cannibalistic Table reflect's Mother Nature's cycle of perpetual transformation, in which materials spring forth and then are recycled into nutrients that benefit new forms of life.
When life-giving water is showered on seedlings in Atema's table, the eggs cartons naturally break down into organic matter.
Hmmmm, that's pretty eggscellent if you ask me.
