Highly Illuminating 'Recycled Document' Lampshade
My desk is pretty much engulfed in paperwork on a yearly basis, so I can speak from personal experience when I say that it is not a good look for any personal work space.
Besides being sloppy, an excessive amount of paper -- whether it's receipts, bills, flyers, or article clippings -- can create a chaotic vibe that adds to one's level of work related stress.

Perhaps designer Gaby Crohn understands the bomb-went-off "paper explosion" as intimately as I do, because she came up with an interesting solution that offers dust-collecting documents a second, more practical life.

As part of a design project entitled "Substitutes," her table-bound document light, which reinterprets the idea of storage, transforms clutter into a practical household aid.

Her lamp is fitted with two concentric metal hoops, converting the assorted scraps of paper that perpetually clutter the desktops of packrats everywhere into a makeshift yet aesthetically pleasing light diffuser.

If you're the type of person who can't seem to part with the paper ephemera of daily life, then this lamp's for you -- simply scoop up all of your paper nonsense and arrange it into nifty lampshade.
In my humble opinion, this seems like a pretty cool example of repurposing!
