Java Worshippers -- What Will It Take For You To Break The Disposable Coffee Cup Habit?

I know quite a few people who are java junkies -- maybe you're one, too.

The thought of going one day without that sweet roasted bean juice is enough to make some people weep uncontrollably, but it's not always convenient to hit the road with a coffee cup in hand....hence the advent of the portable travel mug.

For some reason, though...these handy inventions still don't seem to keep the general public away from coffee joints.

They plunk down a couple of dollars for a steaming brew poured into one of these one-time-use dealios, and then they ditch it in the garbage when they're done.

People, people...we've got to break this habit once and for all -- it's doing our planet no good!

What would it take for you to carry a handy reusable coffee cup with you everywhere (just like your stash of reusable shopping bags)?

Is it about the design? Then maybe this porcelain version (modeled after the original) has enough cool factor for you.

Though sleek looking, the drawback to the white model above is that if you drop it, chances are pretty good that it will smash to smithereens.

Australian company KeepCup has created a fully recyclable #5 plastic coffee cup in a variety of colors that is unbreakable, comes in 3 different sizes and lasts a minimum of four years.

Would this adult style plastic and silicone "sippy cup" make you any more inclined to change your on-the-go coffee habit and make a reusable mug part of your lifestyle?

This relatively small lifestyle change would make a remarkably huge difference given that the average cup, which is sprayed with a polyethlyene coating (not healthy for you or the environment), takes about 50 years to break down in a landfill!

Can you come up with new ways that everyone here can remember to tote along a reusable mug?
