Do you buy used clothing?

As we all know, the best way to be eco-friendly is to reuse products. While I've bought a number of items over the years from eBay and CraigsList, I'm not super keen on buying used clothes. Personally, I know I need to try stuff on before I buy it as sizes vary so much from designer to designer.

I wrote a post about ASOS in the UK's new "used fashion" site. They're encouraging their shoppers not to throw away clothes, but list them for sale on their new online store.

Just curious if you're already buying used clothing or if you think you might give it a shot in the future?

Well, though I prefer to find new clothing. I have in the past found some very cool and cute clothing at the Goodwill or Salvation Army. Used clothing provided it is clean and neat does provide clothing at a cheaper price than the new stuff. I'm willing to buy especially since I am a young college student who has to watch how much money I am spending.

I prefer to buy old clothes because I change them anyway & always to create my own style!

I am very picky about consignment shops. But I love Buffalo Exchange because I find so much NEW stuff. And if something is used, their quality control is so awesome that anything I buy used is in great shape. I also love cleaning my closet out and making room for the "new".

I have always worn mostly pre-loved clothing. I love the hunt for something classic. You get top quality for a fraction of it's orgional price and if it is really dated it just takes new buttons or a updated sleave to give it new life. I always get complements on my wardrobe so I must be doing something right. I also take some pieces like vintage dress jackets and upcycle them into fabulous one-of-a-kind handbags! www.candy-bag.com

Here is an old saying from the past that still make good environmental sense today:
USE IT UP, WEAR IT OUT, MAKE DO, OR DO WITHOUT!
