Is It Possible To Have A Year-Round Indoor Garden?

Posted by Elizah LeighUser517_level, Friday, February 13 2009, 10:26 AM

Last summer was the first time that I exercised my green thumb via a complete container garden on my deck. I started everything from seed (indoors) and learned through trial and tribulation that it's not as easy as it might seem to generate enough produce to break free from the pull of the grocery store. I've already purchased my seeds this year and I'm plotting a better strategy...but what I'm curious to find out is this: Can I successfully grow veggies in pots inside of my home year-round? Does anyone have any experience? Any thoughts or suggestions?

I've used the Aero Garden. My kids received it for a birthday gift and love growing herbs and cherry tomatoes. It keeps them so entertained to watch the little pods grow into full plants. I expect the tomatoes to begin soon and that will be another exciting thing for them to pick, eat and try.
