Petition to Stop Anti-Environment Election Influence

The US Chamber of Commerce, a national organization primarily supported by big business, has used its considerable financial resources and funneled corporate donations to fund political campaigns that are targeted to defeat environmentally supportive candidates.  It has funded think tanks to throw doubt on the reality of global warming.  It has hired a legal firm to fund a cyber-war to undermine the credibility of individuals and organizations that are critical of its positioning.  Our petition asks the Chamber to turn around these policies, to stop its political influence, to recognize environmental crises, to wake up to global warming and to support alternate energies. It also asks for support of stricter environmental regulation.  Please note that many large businesses have withdrawn from the US Chamber due to these policies. We need to let this organization know - particularly if you are a local, small business owner, that the Chamber does not speak for us.
