These crocodiles are made of papier mache, which uses a stack of recycled newspapers.  They save many plastic grocery bags, wire coat hangers from the dry cleaners and empty plastic egg boxes from the landfill, because that is what they are made from!   Each crocodile has at least five wire hangers to make the form and about fifty plastic grocery bags each from the local supermarket formed into the shape with masking tape.    The empty egg boxes are papier mached in place along the spine of the crocs .   The legs are made from recycled carboard,  With a coat or two of paint, they are not only scary but fun!  I had a pirate theme going at my house this halloween and they were one of the highlights, especially when I explained what they were made from!

Somehow you managed to make crocodiles look cute rather than intimidating -- it must be the 100% recycled content! I love their egg carton spines :) This takes real imagination...way to go!
