Wwoof'ing it up in Maui!

Aloha all from Maui, on Hale Akua Garden Farm!  We have just completed our 3 month WWOOF commitment here on a small organic vegetable and herb farm. Wwoof.org is WorldWide Opportunities on Organic Farms and exists all over the world now.  My wife and I choose Maui to start farming on because of the constant growing season, the unique variety of produce and also the wonderful warmth during a normally cold winter time. 

Our entire time here has been an incredible experience in greening the world, literally.  We are learning the fantastic benefits of organic chemical free farming and doing it mostly all by hand; the way it was meant to be done.  Our holidays have never tasted so good, as we eat a large majority of our meals now from fresh organic produce right here on the farm. What a great way to spend the holidays, with new work-friends, on an organic farm, getting a real world education from the soil and decorating everything with plant leaves instead of bleached white doilies!  If you have always wanted to travel the USA and world plus get a little dirty learning how to truly green this planet with food check out Wwoof.org!
