Pixie the Amazing EcoCat!

Hiya everyone! My name is Pixie and I'm here to let you all know how I'm the most ecological kitty around!

First of all, I use solar power! No, no, I don't have solar panels on my kitty condo! I like to bask in the last afternoon rays that come streamin through the living room windows. I stretch out my leggies, curl my toes, and just take it all in. Yes, I live the high life!

Next, mommy and daddy are always buying me bags of food that have words on them that say "organic", "natural", "holistic", and "grain-free". They also like to feed me lots of yummies that they cook up themselves in the kitchen. Makes my tummy rumble just thinking about it!

Mommy also spends lots of time making homemade cleaners and she always reuses the spray bottles! She does something called "recycling" and she likes to sort through the stinky garbage to add things to the "compost".

Mommy and Daddy also purposely bought a house closer to the downtown area so that they can walk more often and not drive the car. They sometimes take me out on walks too but I have to wear my harness of course! I like to jump on bugs and sniff every crack in the sidewalk.

I also like to play in the dirt in mommy's garden. Sometimes, she gets a little irritated at me for running over her organic vegetables but she can't stay mad for long! Who said that the "sad puppy eyes" always work?

And don't forget about the vet and personal hygiene! Mommy and Daddy tell me that it's the best way for me to stay healthy. The take me to the vet and he pokes me with ouchy needles called "vaccinations" and he looks in my mouth and ears and tells mommy that I'm healthy. Mommy and Daddy also like to clean my ears out with swabs and wet stuff - which I don't like one little bit! Then there's teeth brushing time. I don't mind that so much because it tastes like chicken! A "groomer" likes to cut my nails because I won't let mommy or daddy cut them for me. Mommy also makes me potty on pine pellets which I really think are little toys to bat around and hide inside Daddy's shoes!

And that's how I live a natural, healthy lifestyle!
