Lush Mountains of Peru

This is a photograph I took in 2007 in the Sacred Valley of Peru, near Machu Pichu. It was a perfect day, and it was perfect timing. 

Peru is abundantly filled with beauty and natural resources. Recently flooding and mudslides in Cuzco and at Machu Pichu have had an effect on not only the hugely important tourism economy, but even on the livelihood of local Peruvians. This is a place that must be cherished and taken care of, respected, and appreciated. Mother earth in all her glory! Ha!

So, I was 19, traveling the world to find myself and what I wanted to be. The beauty that I saw in this part of the world, in nature, has had a major impact on me. I returned to Peru this year for two months to explore once again. I am not interested in owning an iPad, but selling it to continue to fund my travel photography!
