The public demanded more oil and BP gave it to them.
However, along the way, BP senior members were negligent. They were behind schedule in drilling and every day cost them thousands of dollars. To get back on track they used short cuts, alternative methods that engineer did not recommend. The new BP will follow their engineer's recommendations.
As a new owner of BP, I would remind the public that boycotting BP hardly makes a dent to the core of the company, but hurts station owners all over the United States. Secondary boycotts are like shooting through the hostage to get to the criminal.
BP would not only be held responsible for cleanup, it will also pay for lost wages, and incentives for fuel efficiency.
