Green Irene | Your Local Eco-Consultant

Rosamaria Caballero set out to green her family's home about 24 months ago. When she realized how much research it was to pick the right low-flow showerhead, the right non-toxic cleaner and the right dimmable CFL, she realized that green would never go mainstream without a little help from a local green friend.
She created Green Irene LLC (www.GreenIrene.com), a woman and minority-owned company, to train passionate green people (via the web) to be a force for positive green change in their communities and make a part-time professional income doing something they can feel great about: Greening Our World, One Home and Office At A Time. She is the original "Green Irene," that green, non-judgemental friend you wish you had to help you green your life without making a hobby out of going green.
As of November 2009, Green Irene has trained 500 local Eco-Consultants (in 46 states plus Puerto Rico) and provides all the back-end support to "power" their local green consulting practice. These Ecopreneurs are not just doing this for the money, but to have the tools and support to help their neighbors live a more sustainable life. They serve on the local school's green committee, they give free workshops on how to green your home, and they volunteer to help implement local green initiatives.
The amount of information about going green is overwhelming and often conflicting. Who do you trust to provide the best information about greening your home? Your local Green Irene Eco-Consultant, supported by the resources of Green Irene LLC, is the knowledgeable green friend you have been wishing for. They have the tools and information necessary to move you and your family toward a healthier, greener life.
Our local Eco-Consultant leads families to a more sustainable lifestyle in the course of a $99 Green Home Makeover. The client is shown how to save $1,000s through reduced energy use, which proves that going green, saves green. We offer free Go Green Workshops (think Green Tupperware Party) as well as Green Office Makeovers for small business starting at $250. Eco-Consultants also support their local non-profits with Green Fundraising efforts. We reduce the demand for coal-fed power plants by measurably reducing household energy use and we support emerging niche green products that may need some in-person explanation to gain a market foothold and are not likely to get shelf space at Wal-Mart or Home Depot.
Green Home Makeover Topics Include:
• Energy Conservation
• Energy Efficient Lighting
• Water Conservation
• Water Purity
• Toxic Free Living
• Indoor Air Quality
• Waste Reduction and Recycling
• Shrinking your Family's Carbon Footprint
• Safety and Emergency Preparedness
