Hello, I'm Emily Polk, and these are your CSR Minute headlines for Wednesday, August 25th:

Ecolab is one of 21 global companies to receive the award "Best Corporate Citizen for Driving Sustainability in China 2009-2010." Ecolab was recognized for its programs in cleaning, sanitizing, food safety, and infection prevention products and services. The selection process included public online voting and assessments by an expert committee. The Economic Observer, a weekly Chinese newspaper, organized  the awards, which were presented at the first China Sustainability Leaders Symposium.

For the fourth year, the Sierra Club has ranked "Cool Schools," naming Vermont's Green Mountain College the nation's greenest school. 162 colleges completed the Club's survey, which consisted of 10 categories including academics, energy supply, purchasing, and food. Each category was worth 10 points, with a maximum score of 100. Green Mountain College, which ranked 35th last year, scored 88.6. The second and third ranked schools were Dickinson College and Evergreen State College.
