Hello, I'm Emily Polk, and these are your CSR Minute headlines for Monday, August 30th:
Dell will be a Benefactor Sponsor of the annual SRI in the Rockies Conference to be held in November, for the first time in San Antonio, Texas. The SRI in the Rockies Conference is the longest-running meeting for the sustainable and responsible investing industry in the world. This year's theme will be "Responsible Investing in a Changing Financial Landscape." This is the 7th consecutive year that Dell has been as major conference sponsor.
KBR, the engineering and construction company, has donated $20,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas. The grant will support youth mentoring programs in three Texas counties. Houston-based KBR invests in programs focused on education, the environment, and health. KBR's global services support energy, hydrocarbon, government services, civil infrastructure, and power markets.
